⚔️ What is SSC (Technical)?

The Short Service Commission (Technical) is your route to becoming an officer in the Indian Army through a technical entry.
It’s basically: “You bring the engineering degree; we’ll bring the uniform.”
Duration? 10 years of service, extendable to 14 years, and sometimes even permanent commission based on merit & vacancies.

🧍‍♂️ Who Can Apply

• Men & Women — both can apply.

• Recruitment happens twice a year (Jan & July courses at OTA, Chennai).

🎓 Educational Qualification

• BE/B.Tech degree in the relevant engineering stream (final-year students can also apply).

• Streams accepted vary every notification — Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Computer, Electronics, etc.

📅 Age Limit

• 20 to 27 years (as on the date mentioned in the notification).

• Translation: If you’re fresh out of college or just adulting — you’re golden. ✨

🧾 Selection Process

1️⃣ Shortlisting of Applications

• Based on aggregate marks in BE/B.Tech (no written exam, boo-yah).

• Only shortlisted candidates get the SSB call.

2️⃣ SSB Interview

• 5-day process testing your personality, intelligence, and leadership.

• Stages:

  • Stage 1: Screening (intelligence & picture perception test)

  • Stage 2: Psychology tests, GTO tasks, personal interview

3️⃣ Medical Examination

• You gotta be physically & mentally fit to serve.

• Eyesight, height, chest expansion — all checked under Army standards.

4️⃣ Final Merit List

• Based on SSB marks + medical clearance + available vacancies in your branch.

🏛 Training

• Location: Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai

• Duration: 49 weeks

• You come out of it a polished Lieutenant — ready to serve, command, and slay. 💅
