1. Post Name

Sailor (Under Indian Navy)

You can apply under these main categories:

  • AA (Artificer Apprentice) – Technical trade (science stream required)

  • SSR (Senior Secondary Recruit) – Non-technical + some technical duties

  • MR (Matric Recruit) – Non-technical posts like Steward, Chef, or Hygienist


2. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • AA (Artificer Apprentice):

    • 10+2 with Maths & Physics, and at least one of Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science.

  • SSR (Senior Secondary Recruit):

    • 10+2 with Maths & Physics.

  • MR (Matric Recruit):

    • 10th Pass from a recognized board.

Age Limit

  • Usually between 17 to 21 years.

  • Height: Minimum 157 cm (varies slightly region-wise)

  • Vision: 6/6 and 6/9 (without glasses)

  • Body: No tattoos, no chronic illness, and physically fit as per Navy rules


7. Salary & Benefits 💰

Stage Pay
During Training ₹14,600 per month (stipend)
After Training ₹21,700 – ₹69,100 (Pay Level 3)

Once selected, you could be posted at:
